Amiyah Scott, who was this close to signing on to star on The Real Housewives of Atlanta has just scored a major coup that is definitely potentially bigger than any reality show.

Scott, who has no previous acting experience, has just been tapped by the Empire creator Lee Daniels to star in the spin-off to that show. According to sources, Amiyah received confirmation a few days ago after Daniels saw her, requested that she come in and read, and decided to add her to the cast.

Scott will play one of the girls in the group that the show is centered around. He spin-off will showcase a younger version of the Cookie Lyon character and is expected to be another ratings bonanza for the Fox network.

Is Empire about to break more records?

We think it certainly just made history.
