The mystery and gossip has finally been laid to rest and officially confirmed with Angelina Jolie, aka ‘The Steeltrap Thundercat‘, has been announced as the lead in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at Comic-Con in their upcoming movie, ‘The Eternals’.
Yesterday, the mother of six, philanthropist, and all-around badass made the announcement alongside her co-stars in the flick, which also features several other big names in the worlds of film and television: Richard Madden (Icarus), Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo), Lauren Ridloff (Makkari), Brian Tyree Henry (Phastos), Salma Hayek (Ajak), Lia McHugh (Sprite), and Don Lee (Gilgamesh).
“I’m so excited to be here. I’m going to work 10 times harder because I think what it means to be a part of the MCU, what it means to be an Eternal, to be a part of this family, I know what we all need to do. We have all read the script. We have all know what the task ahead is and we are all going to be working very, very hard. I’m training. I am thrilled. Thank you so much.”
The flick will be directed by Chloe Zhao and is about a group of immortal beings that have descended upon earth to assist humans and mankind.
Filming is already underway in London and is set to debut officially on November 6th, 2020.
