Kevin Spacey has now officially been forced to come out of the closet. And not because there was a sale at Prada either.

The house of cards has just been re-shuffled!

It seems that Spacey is the latest star to be clicked and dragged with allegations of sexual misconduct following the recent outbreak that is Harvey Weinstein. In the last 72 hours, the Academy Award-winning actor has come out as bisexual, now gay, and apparently suffering from early forms of Alzheimer’s.

Kevin Spacey

Fellow actor Anthony Rapp (Rent, Star Trek: Discovery) recently came forward with his own tale of Hollywood trickery and deceit when he accused Spacey of making sexual advances towards him when they were both appearing on Broadway over 30 years ago. The problem with this beyond the alleged sexual misconduct?

Rapp was only 14 years old, and looked like this at the time:

Spacey was 26 years old at the time.

Says Rapp:

“He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don’t, like, squirm away initially, because I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then he lays down on top of me. He was trying to seduce me. He was trying to seduce me. I don’t know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually. I opened the door, and I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to go home now. He followed me to the front door of the apartment, and as I opened the door to leave, he was leaning on the front door[frame]. And he was like, ‘Are you sure you wanna go?’ I said, ‘Yes, good night,’ and then I did leave.”

Luckily for him, Rapp was able to escape relatively unscathed, and he decided to come forward because of the recent Weinstein scandal. He continued…

“And not to simply air a grievance. But to try to shine another light on the decades of behavior that have been allowed to continue because many people, including myself, being silent. … I’m feeling really awake to the moment that we’re living in, and I’m hopeful that this can make a difference.”

For his part, Spacey finally admitted that he was, in fact, a gay man over the weekend. He also did not deny Rapp’s claims, which are – unless you live in the backwoods of the Appalachian Mountains – illegal to engage in with a minor. He issued a statement via Twitter:

Now, Spacey has been seen throughout the years on both sides of the Atlantic with young men and boys (and director Bryan Singer, who also has a long history of relationships with young boys of a questionable age) and the question now is why he didn’t address the fact that Rapp was far under the age of consent at the time and if this press release was simply a chess move to brace himself against other men that may come forward in light of these recent allegations.

Stay tuned…
