Queen Latifah is about to be seen in the movie she has been angling to do for nearly a decade now, if not longer.

The movie, which chronicles the life and death of singer Bessie Smith, is already being considered awards worthy and the performances in it are being lauded in review after review. Also featured in the telepic is Oscar winner Mo’Nique, in one of her first big roles since winning the Best Supporting Oscar for ‘Precious’ a few years ago. Needless to say, it has been worth the wait.
