Dear Black America: 86 Beyonce for a REAL Feminist in Marilyn Mosby For those of you wondering if Beyonce is the only person capable of speaking to our people, think again. Leave her for the performance stage and prepare yourselves for someone more than capable and experienced enough to speak for us in THAT realm. Exit Beyhive. Enter Marilyn Mosby. Enter The Real Deal. Baltimore residents already know her and as the world begins to know more about her, it is only a matter of time before her name (if things go as planned) becomes synonymous with a new era in civil rights for black people that is long overdue. Why should we wait on hip hop stars and their part-time politics and dodge tactics on issues that truly matter when there are plenty of viable, educated black people that are more than willing and able to fight for our rights FULL-TIME? and just like that, a civil rights leader is exposed to Black America. Choose wisely! Mosby, at 35 years of age, is the same age as Beyonce but far more worldly, far more able to lead a coalition and we need to back someone who knows the ins and outs of the struggle as opposed to those that champion parts of issues in lieu of generating more revenue for their coffers. word to the wise: Bey-Z are NOT politicians. They are opportunists Where is Beyonce at now as Baltimore residents bleed and cry on the streets? Where is Jay-Z now as black men are beaten by the police? They are too busy pimpin’ Tidal than to take a stand for people that look like them. REMEMBER THAT. Mosby, yes. Bey-Z, no. That is all.
