GlamorSLAP Review: 2017 Golden Globe Awards Let’s get straight to the action, because for those that watched last night, we all know where the highlights were and who issued an epic verbal SLAP to the upcoming #PettyPOTUS during this year’s Golden Globe Awards. Naomie Harris Naomie continues her red carpet streak of with this sleek number that pluned and dipped with the best of them. It would have been impossible to ignore the star wattage she was projecting this year. Will she continue to slay this awards season? Only time will tell. Viola Davis One of the first rules of fashion is knowing your colors, and Viola Davis is singing like a canary in this yellow Michael Kors that brings out all of her features and let the entire world know, “Hey, I’m here!” Emily Ratajkowski We still don’t know what this woman does, but it finally appears that Emily turned in her Rent Is Due (R.I.D.) dress in exchange for the ‘Slit to the Clit’ frock. But this one? We like. Carry on! Ruth Negga Remember her name, because we think that Negga may be the fashion darkhorse fashion wise when it comes to this year’s red carpet season. This ensemble was an excellent entry into the big leagues and a welcome change of pace from basic black and safe bets (sorry, Reese!) Naomi Campbell Proving yet again that she is a supermodel that can do no wrong, Naomi decided to dip in to the Golden Globes and leave them all wanting more. Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and Gaten Matarazzo You know it’s a sin and a goddamn shame when tweens can dress themselves better than grown ass people 2 to 3 times their age. The rest of Hollywood needs to ask the child cast of Stranger Things for some fashion assistance before the next red carpet event, as it is obvious they know what they’re doing! And now, for an epic verbal SLAP issued by none other than Meryl Streep to Donald J. Trump… WORST DRESSED FELICITY JONES She just made a name for herself in Rogue One and now it seems like she is trying to end her own career with this sartorial self-sabotage. Felicity wins the Why/BYE! red carpet award for last night’s fashion f*ckery. SOPHIE TURNER What kind of fashion f*ckery is this? Is Sophie wants to elevate her status in Hollywood, she could start with a stylist blessed with the sense of sight. Girl, bye! PHARRELL WILLIAMS Another example of where we don’t even know where to begin with this visual herpes so we shan’t begin… Next! HONORABLE MENTION JANELLE MONAE From the music stage to the red carpets of Hollywood, Janelle Monae is set to become the next big thing in the world of acting, and this black & white number is all that and a bag of chips. Dig in!
