Jada Pinkett Smith: All Eyez On Her

We all should have seen this coming, but now it is here and the sparks are a-flyin’!

With the release of the new biopic about Tupac, All Eyez On Me finally out, controversy has only mounted and one person is giving her opinion on what is the truth and what are falsehoods.

Enter Jada Pinkett Smith.

Enter the rebuttal.

Enter the verbal SLAP!

Known as one of his closest friends during his life, Jada has run to Twitter to share her thoughts on the biopic that features their relationship:

“Forgive me… my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in ‘All Eyez On Me’ to stand as truth.”

According to Smith, there are discrepancies in the film that she is seeking to clarify as well:

“Pac never said goodbye to me before leaving for LA. He had to leave abruptly and it wasn’t to pursue his career … I’ve never been to any of Pac’s shows by his request. We never had an argument backstage. The reimagining of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful.”

Pinkett Smith did not throw shade at the actress portraying her in the film, Kat Graham, however, opining that…

“This is no fault of yours. Thank you for bringing so much heart and spirit to your roles. You did a beautiful job with what you were given. Thank you.”

The producer of the film, LT Hutton, claimed disappointment with Jada’s statements, but countered…

“I respect the hell out of Ms. Smith. I was very responsible with everyone.”
