Janet Jackson Launching Rhythm Nation Records We all heard the news a few days ago that Janet Jackson was coming back to the music scene with the release of her first album since 2008’s Discipline. Now comes word that the album will not only include a world tour, but will be released under her newly formed record label, Rhythm Nation. According to Jackson herself, the label will feature both established and new recording artists, and she is providing a label-services deal with an indie distributor that allows artists to retain ownership and revenue over new recordings. We are not only excited about Janet’s new album and tour, but we are interested to see who and what she releases through her own Rhythm Nation music label.
