It finally looks like fans are getting a reboot they truly want!

Keanu Reeves has just decided to re-enter The Matrix.

Warner Bros. just announced plans to reboot the sci-fi classic franchise with a fourth film starring Reeves and his former Matrix costar Carrie-Anne Moss.

The Wachowskis are returning as well, with Warner Bros. releasing a statement about the upcoming release:

“We could not be more excited to be re-entering The Matrix and we are thrilled that Lana is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in The Matrix universe.”

Additionally, The Matrix is returning to theatres all over the U.S. at the end of the month.

The new movie revives the franchise after a near 20-year break. The previous trilogy launched in 1999, then followed with The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions 2003. All told, the films have earned more than $1.6 billion at the global box office.

No word on when it will be released, but we are here for it!
