This upcoming season, Lily Rabe will be doing what she does best on American Horror Story: diving in, taking charge, and leaving her indelible mark.

When news first spread that she was taking on the role of real life serial killer Aileen Wuornos, there was a lot of comparisons and hoopla over how Rabe could possibly top the work of Oscar winner Charlize Theron in the theatrical role, and to that we say….

There is no need to compare, for there is only room to praise the inevitable artistic touch and singular nuances that Lily Rabe brings to any role she takes on. As the unofficial ‘Go To Girl’ on AHS, each season, she has found a way to make an impact on screen, no matter how big or small her role. If there were a Sixth Man Award for Ryan Murphy’s anthology, she’d definitely be the recipient. And considering the stellar cast each season?

That’s saying something.

How Murphy ties Wuornos’ story into the upcoming fifth season remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain?

We all will be watching.

Perhaps Rabe should be clearing her shelves for a few trophies?
