Quincy Jones Issues Verbal SLAP to Taylor Swift

Quincy Jones is NOT the one!

Quincy Jones has laid down the gauntlet and named a few more names than Taylor Swift. And with his resume as long as it is, there is probably not a person alive that will challenge him. As Verbal SLAPS would say?

Fight me!

Quincy Jones is arguably one of the greatest producers and musicians of all time, working with a who’s who list that would make even the most accomplished artist bow down. In a recent interview with magazine GQ, the mogul issued verbal slaps to any and everyone he damn well pleased. But he saved his mightiest shots for Taylor Swift, aka, Princess of of the Poptrixxx. When the interviewer asked him how he felt about Tay-Tay, he didn’t sway-say, opining…

“We need more songs, man. F—ing songs, not hooks.”

Shots fired!

But he didn’t stop there. Oh no! When the interviewer claimed that many consider her one the greatest songwriter of our age, Quincy cringed and laughed:

“Whatever crumbles your cookie.”

When asked what Taylor lacked, QJ dug in:

“Knowing what you’re doing. You know what I mean? Since I was a little kid, I’ve always heard the people that don’t wanna do the work. It takes work, man. The only place you find success before work is the dictionary, and that’s alphabetical. But they don’t know, man. They don’t know. I’ve come and gone through seven decades of this sh—. Seen all that. Seen how that works. Ignorance is no thing.”

Just when everyone thought he was finished, the 28-time Grammy winner slapped another heavyweight of music, Elvis Presley…

“The motherf—er couldn’t sing.”

Well, damn.

But who did float Quincy’s boat? He named Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Drake, Mary J. Blige, Common, Jennifer Hudson, and Ludacris as his current favorites.

Sorry, #BeyHive, Jayonce fans.

QJ has spoken.

Get right and don’t come for him!
