Just how many underage boys must come forward against Bryan Singer before Hollywood cancels him forever?
Apparently, we have yet to reach that number because there are still a number of films that he is attached to. But one that he is no longer going to be directing in the immediate future?
Red Sonja!
The movie, which has been in development hell for well over a decade, originally starred Brigitte Nielsen in the 1985, which at the time was meant to be a spinoff of the popular Conan movies of the era.

Then, fast forward to the 2000s and Rose McGowan was attached to star with Robert Rodriguez directing. That version never materialized either as McGowan and rumored lover Rodriguez broke up and the #MeToo movement and Harvey Weinstein came to the forefront.
Now, news has surfaced that Singer has been fired from the project and replaced by Jill Soloway, who is most known for her work on Transparent. This is what the award-winning showrunner had to say about her upcoming involvement on the movie:
“Exploring this powerful mythology and evolving what it means to be a heroine is an artistic dream come true”.
With Millennium Films giving Soloway all the time she needs to write and direct the reboot, hopes are up that she will finally be able to do the comic book heroine justice and throw a bit more girl power into the mix.
