Jazz in the Gardens, celebrating its tenth year of bringing some of the finest in entertainment to the community, has provided a bevy of entertainers that have included Neyo, Earth Wind & Fire, Mary Mary, Gladys Knight, LL Cool J, Mary J. Blige and many more.

In 2015, artists that brought their talent to the stage included, Maxwell, R. Kelly, Erykah Badu, Toni Braxton, Run DMC, and more.

This year was another shining example of what Jazz in the Gardens offers in entertainment, and for the third consecutive year, Verbal SLAPS covered it via our Sonic SLAP music arm, serving up exclusive photos of all the action, both on and off the stage, celebrating the weekend of music and festivities like no other.

Sheila E., one of Prince’s great proteges, was live and in control this past weekend, showing her chops on the drums and the guitar. Still as sexy as ever, Sheila electrified the crowd with her amazing artistry.

One of the leading ladies of neo-soul, goddess Erykah Badu brought her beats and her beauty to the stage, giving the crowd a performance that left an indelible impression and captured the essence of the weekend.

And as always, Badu maintained her eclectic ensemble, which has always kept her a favorite of fans…
