Revolt Single Cover

The beautiful disturbance offered by rock duo The Unraveling is a journey into dark experimental rock that is a dynamic, driven sound not for the faint at heart. Charged by the vocals of frontman Steve Moore, their new single ‘Revolt’ is an ascent into rock dynamics that combine the lyrical integrity and deep angst that some of the most revered bands in history have managed to unite to a sinister mix.

Industrial metal often doesn’t get the accolades it deserves as a genre that is not usually produced for mass consumption. ‘Revolt’ is a beautifully scary sonnet of a song that is just as dark and delicious as fans would expect from the band. Fans of The Unraveling will definitely be eager to have more after hearing this release, and as a messenger of all things dark, Steve Moore delivers on all fronts.

The Unravelling 6

Since the release of their concept album Arcane Hymns in 2010, The Unraveling has achieved the type of acclaim that any band in their genre would be ecstatic to receive. Their industrial hard rock sound has been welcomed with open arms, with many citing them as a breath of fresh air in a genre threatening to go stale. Since their debut, they have opened for such lauded acts as Helmet and Bison BC, been nominated for three Alberta Metal Awards (winning the Best Album Production category), and topping the CJSW Metal Awards. When Moore fell ill in 2011, the hiatus was the catalyst that resulted in a renewed sense of drive in the band, which has only re-invigorated the band on their current musical trajectory.

Fans of The Unraveling will note that this is a ‘Revolt’ worth reslishing.
