It’s only been four months since Zayn fled that boyband group that people over the age of 25 couldn’t care less about, but now he’s back, re-signed, and set to make his own mark on the pop world. Zayn Malik also took time out from producing his solo album to hurl a bit of shade at his former group when asked why he left in such a hurry via Twitter…

“I guess I never explained why I left , it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who I really am.”

“#REALME.”

The person that made the RCA deal happen? None other than his pimp/mentor Simon Cowell, who also ran to Twitter to say the following…

“We have been working on this for a while and I am pleased to say congratulations to @Zaynmalik on signing with @RCARecords. I believe they are the perfect label for @ZaynMalik’s solo career and I am sure whatever they release together will be special.”

Will Zayn’s upcoming album retain his fans or alienate them all?

Stay tuned…
