It’s time yet again for the last red carpet event of the season, the 2021 Academy Awards. GlamorSLAP was marginally there, covering the few, the brave, the exquisitely dressed and coiffed that made our list in this abbreviated yet extended somehow season. Ms. King could have sashayed down the red carpet and said nothing in her stunning ensemble, but she had plenty to say to the billions of people watching all over the planet, putting a spotlight on place brutality against African-Americans. She stole the night for the best dressed person on the red carpet, and we dare you to anoint anyone else for this prize in 2021!

Zendaya in Valentino
You’ve got to possess model proportions to pull off this type of dress, but did anyone doubt for one moment that Zendaya couldn’t? Breezing down the red carpet in canary yellow, she let us all know that she is the future of Black cinema and is ready to receive all the accolades coming to her!
Amanda Seyfried in Armani Privé
Ms. Seyfriend went for the va-va-voom factor this year and she hit it out the park in this fire engine red Armani dress. from top to bottom, she hit every mark. This dress will be studied years from now on how to get away with minimal accessories when the focus is ALL about the gown. We see you, Sey-Sey!

Never one to let us down on a red carpet, AB brought her A-game as usual, setting us all asunder in a vibrant red gown that proved she is serious about her fashion from head to toe. Welcome to what the NEW 60 looks like?

We are all for the unconventional, and Stanfield delivered it ALL to us in this custom-made Saint Laurent suit that brought us all the way back to the 70s in grand style. If you have a problem with this ‘fit, you can just leave us now.

Rounding out the men was none other than the statuesque Sacha Baron Cohen, who makes a bold statement in his dapper suit. With a bowtie and tailored to perfection, Cohen is destined for Oscar gold – it is only a matter of time!
