J-Hud Tapped to Portray Aretha Franklin In Upcoming Bio-Pic


Jennifer Hudson ,aka J-Hud, been tapped!

Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party is always one of the most anticipated events every year before the Grammys and this year proved no exception. Veiled in secrecy, this year, he had an announcement that had the entire room surprised.

After years of a movie featuring her entire life being bandied about Hollywood, Aretha Franklin, ‘The Queen of Soul’, has handpicked American Idol alum and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson to play her in an upcoming movie.

The movie will be financed by MGM Studios, which bought the right, with Scott Bernstein (Straight Outta Compton) producing. No word yet on who will direct the film, although this has Ava DuVernay’s name possibly written all over it.
